Claiborne County Domestic Violence Resources

Community Health of East Tennessee (CHET) – provides emergency housing, housing assistance, transportation, medical care, access to government issued cell phones, transportation, SNAP benefits application assistance, outreach, and support groups. CHET is LGBTQIA+ friendly. Claiborne County office is located at 130 Independence Lane, Lafollette, TN 37766 and can be reached at (423) 562-8325.

McNabb Center – offers outreach and counseling services, as well as emergency shelter, transitional housing, and a crisis hotline: (865) 637-8000.

Claiborne County Health Department – provides onsite testing for TB, STI’s, COVID-19, and Monkeypox. They also provide prevention and care services, as well as vaccinations. They are located at 620 Davis Street, New Tazewell, TN 37825 and are open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.

Tennessee Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence – works with centers across Tennessee to provide Sexual Assault Forensic Exams, housing, emergency funding, and technical assistance. They can be reached at (615) 386-9406.

East Tennessee Human Resources Agency – provides public transportation to work, the doctor, and even the grocery store. Service animals are welcome. To schedule a ride, or sign up for their Job Access Program, call 1 (800) 232-1565.
