Kelsey Stelly is a third-year law student at the University of Tennessee College of Law. At school, she is a member of the Law Women Executive Board and recently, her team placed fourth in the national Phi Alpha Delta Mock Trial Competition. She came to Knoxville from South Louisiana, where she earned a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and a Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice from Loyola University-New Orleans. There, she spent her time working at the Orleans Parish Public Defender’s Office and the Orleans Parish Drug Court Division, particularly focusing in on the intersection of mental health and the law. During law school, Kelsey has discovered a passion in family law within this intersection and is enjoying working with Held Law Firm to explore these interests and provide for our Knoxville community! She assists our attorneys with legal research and case preparation, makes daily trips to court, and helps to keep the office running smoothly.
This summer, Kelsey will be working on a Project on the impact of video court proceedings and video jail visitation on the mental health of litigants.
