About Leah Fitzgerald

Leah Smith Fitzgerald, originally from Calhoun, Georgia, is a graduate of Maryville College, where she earned a degree in political science. While attending Maryville College, she also earned a Certified Non-Profit Professional Credential (CNP) and was active in multiple service-based organizations. Leah then graduated Magnum Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee College of Law. During her tenure there, Leah worked as a research assistant for Professor Valorie Vojdik and was part of a legal journal. These experiences developed the research and writing skills that she uses every day at the Held Law Firm. As a law student attorney, Leah represented juveniles in the Knox County Juvenile Court who were facing delinquency/criminal charges.

As a Maryville College graduate, Leah took to heart one of the sayings of the school from its founder: ‘Do good on the largest possible scale.’ Leah understands that doing good means both working to help a family or individual and promoting positive change in the broader community. Leah puts this idea to practice by working diligently with clients throughout a difficult time in their life.

Leah Fitzgerald is passionate about helping clients navigate the obstacles in their lives that lead to their need for representation, which is why she became an attorney and an associate at the Held Law Firm.
