The fund will be used first to pay educational expenses for India like tuition, books and school supplies, and also transportation costs.  (The family has an approximately eighty (80) mile a day round trip from home to India's high school in a neighboring Tennessee county.) 

The fund will also be used for costs related to the legal case, such as Xerox copying and transcription costs for what may be extensive formal discovery in federal court prior to trial. 

We do not anticipate that there will be a legal resolution soon, and so it is especially important to raise money for both India's high school education outside of Union County---a place where she is still NOT assured a safe education---and for the legal fight on behalf of all children who are allowed to be harassed at school when they are not part of the dominant religious culture in the community.
